Join us on Saturday, February 14, 2026 for a full day of culture, costumes, music, and community at the Cleveland Kurentovanje Festival! All activities are headquartered at the Slovenian National Home (6417 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44103), with celebrations spreading across the surrounding area.
Below is your hour-by-hour guide to everything happening throughout the festival — from the high-energy Kurent Dash to the beloved Pokop Pusta closing ceremony. Whether you're here for the parade, the food, the music, or the family activities, there’s something for everyone!
2026 Main Festival & Parade Day Schedule
9:00 AM
Kurent Dash 5K Registration & Packet Pick-Up begins at the Slovenian National Home.

10:00 AM
The Kurent Dash 5K Race kicks off from E. 64th & St. Clair.
Festival gates open at the Slovenian National Home and surrounding grounds.
This year’s festival features a nearly 3,000 sq. ft. Children’s Village with play zones, crafts, face painting, programming, and more.
10:30 AM
“Kurents with Capes” - Kurent appearance at the Children’s Village
10:45 AM
Story Time with Maria Bruner (in English) in the Children’s Village.
12:00 PM
The Parade officially steps off, marching throughout the neighborhood.
Tip: Grab a spot on St. Clair north of E. 64th Street for the best view!
1:00–5:00 PM
Party Time! Enjoy live performances across four music stages, browse the vendor village, and dig into your favorite foods.
1:30 PM
Sing-A-Long with John Srsen in the Children’s Village (instructions in English featuring some Slovenian songs).
5:00 PM
The Pokop Pusta closing ceremony begins at the fire pits — a symbolic farewell marking the end of the festival.
5:30 PM
The Kurenti return to their year-long slumber, and the festival officially concludes.
